Silence
These are photos of a random office building that I found while driving around. I decided to photograph this building because of the two points on the roof, and the arched window in the center. This building was hard to photograph because there weren't very many unique angles that I could have shot from. These images express a pleasant, quaint feeling, the red brick is very plain and neutral. It was an overcast day when I took these photos, so the background is a boring gray color.
Edge
This is the GLC building where my Dad works. This is a one story building, so it was a bit difficult to get shots that didn't have trees in the frame. Even though the building isn't very tall, I still got some intense shots from a low angle to make the building appear larger. These photos convey a feeling of orderliness and structure. If I could do anything differently, I would have taken the pictures on a nicer day, because the sky is gray.
Smuggler
These are photos of my old elementary school, Northside, which is now known as S.T.E.A.M. I took photos of the old section of the school that I remember which is represented by the brick, contrasted with the new parts of the school, represented by the blue and white panels. I tried to convey a feeling of change and moving forward. In the blueprint photo, half of the shot has the brick and half has the panels, which symbolizes growing up and moving forward. If I had to redo anything, I would have taken photos on the other side of the school, but there was construction going on so I couldn't walk around.
Droplet
These are photos that I took of an Olive Garden and the surrounding buildings nearby. I really like this location because it is above the ground and it overhangs a pond. These photos convey a feeling of relaxation and luxury. If I could do anything differently, I would have taken pictures of the abandoned restaurant below Olive Garden which used to be a Max and Erma's. An abandoned building would have made some cool photos.
Nurse
These are photos I took of Revel Roll, the new bowling alley. I really like the modern industrial feeling that this building portrays. The old bowling alley that used to be there was very old and worn down, and this new one looks really good. If I had to do anything differently, I wouldn't have taken pictures of the small trees in front, but I thought those were a good example of rhythm even thought they aren't part of the building itself. Again, the weather was very bad that day, so the background is very boring.
